As an indie author, I've learned that writing is frustrating, maddening, and exhilarating! There is no better feeling than sitting in front of a keyboard and having the words just flow through your fingers. Of course, there are the occasional setbacks: your computer eats half your manuscript and you have to start all over; you forget a common word that you need desperately for the text and have to go to a thesaurus; you lose valuable days writing because life intrudes. Despite these occasional setbacks, the writing process is one of the most exciting things I've ever taken on. I hope you enjoy the fruits of my labor.

Keith Knowles
Married for 54 years, Keith Knowles always knew he had a book in him. One fine day in June 2024, his wife, Paula, said, "You know, Keith, you need a hobby." I had to agree with her, so I decided to start writing. I had no topic or plot line or even characters; I just sat down and started to write. What sprang from my unskilled mind was a short story that looked pretty good. That short story became a novel, which I published in May 2026. So, two years went into my first attempt at serious writing. Now, I'm hooked. Plan to see more of me as time marches on, although at 83, there may not be that much time left!
